Traditionally, music has been a really divisive thing within Christianity with certain forms and styles being banned and declared 'unchristian' and - back in the 'good old days' there was always the classic tradition of burning records in the street.
But it totally misses the point. The tree of knowledge leads us to focus on whether things are good or evil and what things are 'in' and 'out' (typically the list of things that are 'out' tends to be fairly lengthy!). 1 Corinthians 4:20 tells us the Kingdom of God isn't a matter of talk but power. Its focus is whether things are producing life or death in each moment...and that's the way to approach things like movies and, in today's case, music.
Here's the list we came up with. When you see the core emotions and aspects of life that each style evokes it soon becomes obvious that no style can be evil. All of these emotions are expressed in scripture and have their source in God. Each of us have a different emotional register, so it's also no surprise that we each gravitate to different forms of music. Interesting stuff and powerful. When you get this an enormous world opens up.
There actually isn't any such thing as christian music and non-christian music in the Kingdom. There is only music that radiates life and music that promotes death. If something is bringing life to you, enjoy it.
