What's new - a place to call home?

Heya friends,
Firstly a venue update: I heard from the Ministry again in the last week or so (depending on when you read this). The journey with the CIT premises continues to be a slow one. Personally, I'm still praying for that to work out - it seems perfect. But in the meantime, a neat opportunity has come up for us and I'm keen for us to be open to the Holy Spirit to change our plans too...so what is it?
We've been offered use of the Trentham Community House (bottom of Merton St, just before the entrance to Fergusson Intermediate). It used to be a kindergarten and is currently being used to provide a range of support services to the local community. Venue-wise it's perfect for us - it's a bit tired in parts and definitely under-resourced which is perfect. We can use the place for our needs, while at the same time contribute to their resources in a way that directly touches the local neighbourhood. It's a great step towards our aim of being a community centre rather than just another corporate church. What do you think? You can learn more about the Trentham Community House on their facebook page here.

This Sunday will be our final Sunday morning at Matt & Marie's house (thanks a tonne you guys!!) and we can have our first meeting at the Trentham Community House from
Sunday 13th April. Welcome your thoughts - and we'll keep you posted. It'll cost us  $135 each time we use the place so be great to have some help contributing to that. We have a fully registered trust known as the Aotearoa Foundation that can give receipts for charitable donations. We just need to set up a bank account which we'll do in the next week or so - will keep you posted. Thanks team.

In the meantime, see you this coming Sunday 11am at Matt & Marie's
place. We hope to have Bruce Billington join us as a guest speaker this week. See ya there!
